Plan Bee Academy is a co-ed program that provides services to pre-school, elementary, middle, high and post-high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities. The services are designed to address the needs of those students who require intensive instruction in all areas as well as those students who are prepared to transition to less restrictive environments. We are staffed primarily 2:1 with some requiring 1:1 additional adult assistance. These students may engage in low rate or low intensity aggressive or self injurious behaviors but would continue to progress with less intensive instruction. All student candidates must have one of the following disabilities: Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Multiple Disabilities, Developmentally Delayed, Emotional Disability, speech and language impairments or other health impairments.
Parents, public school personnel, & Family Agency and Planning Teams (FAPT)/Community Agency Teams (CAT) may initiate admission requests to Plan Bee Academy.
Plan Bee Academy requires the following documents for admission evaluation:
Current Individualized Educational Plan (to include placement of Private Day)
Eligibility minutes and most recent components
School transcripts (where applicable)
There is no requirement for observation of the student prior to placement at Plan Bee Academy; however, it is preferred to meet the student and have the parent and student visit the school. The staff at Plan Bee Academy work as a collaborative team with students, parents, and placing agencies in efforts to help each student reach his or her potential.
* Plan Bee Academy admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
